SSHA Has a New Web Site

The Social Science History Association is beta testing a new web site. www.ssha.org shows a new look in design, added functionality, and user friendliness. Developed within the popular, and powerful framework of Joomla, the new SSHA web site will introduce users and administrators to the latest technology available for online interaction, information gathering, and content management.

The SSHA web site is in the beta stage and still under development, but the space for networks is available now. A center column area is immediately available for any content, as well as additional linked pages opening in separate windows, or, as continued Read more... links from that location. Networks interested in maintaining independent websites on other host servers are free to continue doing so, and link to the SSHA.org website. To see the current configuration example, click on the Networks link in the left column navigation.

SSHA network chairs, co-chairs, and any other content creators are encouraged to submit content updates, which include text files (rtf., doc., pdf.), images (jpgs, gifs, pdfs), audio or video files/streams (fla. swf, quicktime), external links, or any content at all they would like to post on behalf of their network branch, to the SSHA  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
