SSHA Graduate Student Travel Awards
The SSHA Graduate Student Travel Awards will be given to up to thirty graduate students who are presenting papers or posters at the 2012 SSHA Annual Meeting. Students whose paper or poster has non-student co-authors are not eligible.
The awards will be based on the quality of the application, and will be announced June 20, 2012.
The award carries a cash prize of $300 (for North American winners) or $500 (for winners residing outside of North America).
The awards will be presented at the plenary Business Meeting and Presidential Address on November 3, 2012.All graduate students with accepted conference papers are eligible for this award (exception: if you have a non-student co-author on your paper, you are not eligible). Important: to be considered for this award, your SSHA profile must be flagged "Graduate Student" at http://conference.ssha.org/people/edit no later than May 31, 2012.
Applications are now open and will close on May 31, 2012. Apply by flagging yourself as a graduate student at: http://conference.ssha.org/people/edit.
Applications will be judged by a committee appointed by the President of the Association.
SSHA Graduate Student Travel Awards are sponsored by the Social Science History Association.
